Husky is a line of hands tools that has been sold since 1924. Currently acting as Home Depot's store brand, Husky has expanded into power tools, storage and protective equipment. The majority of Husky's products come with a lifetime guarantee, supporting their slogan: “The toughest name in tools.”
Husky's current visual identity does not match its promise of being “the toughest name in tools”. Keeping the original logo and adjusting the balance of the color palette helped retain brand recognition, while giving it a fresh, edgier look. Additionally, a new, more expressive type palette allowed the brand to show more of its personality. The new visual identity was then implemented into the brands packaging, and promotional materials.
